Resumen de El gòtic parroquial a les comarques de Girona

A les comarques de Girona detectem un gran nombre d’esglésies parroquials bastides seguint l’estil gòtic. La majoria d’aquestes esglésies es poden catalogar com a tardogòtiques, ja que s’aixecaren a partir del segle XVI. Les esglésies que hem analitzat per a aquest assaig parteixen, totes, d’una tipologia que es va repetint: nau única amb capelles laterals, absis poligonals i façanes amb l’aparició d’elements renaixentistes. Entre les estructures característiques d’aquests edificis tenim els campanars que utilitzen models preexistents que s’adapten al temple que s’ha de bastir. Aquests edificis s’aixecaren lentament degut a la situació d’inestabilitat que regnà a les nostres comarques durant gran part del segle XVII. Les característiques constructives d’aquestes esglésies es repetiren amb la utilització d’unes solucions similars en l’estructura. Tot i estar parlant d’edificis modestos, hi treballaren artífexs de prestigi, alguns dels quals ho feren en més d’un temple.

A large number of parish churches built according to the Gothic style have been detected in the Girona region. Most of these churches can be catalogued as late Gothic as they were built from the 16th century onwards. The churches we have analysed for this essay are divided into two types: a single nave with side chapels, polygonal apses and facades with the initial inclusion of Renaissance elements. Among the most common structural characteristics of these buildings we will have the bell towers that use pre-existing models that are adapted to the temple to be built.
These buildings were slowly erected due to the instability that prevailed in our region most of the time in the 17th century. The constructive characteristics of these churches were repeated with the use of similar solutions in the structure of the building. Despite being modest buildings, prestigious creators worked on them, some of whom worked in more than one temple.
