Resumen de Les magistrats lexoviens Cisiambos et Mavpennos, auteurs d'un ensemble monétaire civique à l'époque augustéenne

Louis Pol Delestrée

  • The use of Roman coinage was generalized throughout Gaul only at the beginning of the reign of Tiberius. However, since the Roman conquest, the number of Gallic emissions increased significantly, favored by the uncontrolled fragmentation of the issuing powers. Several civic mints, especially in the north of Gaul, appeared at the beginning of the principate of Augustus. It is at the ephemeral initiative of two Lexovian magstrates, known only by numismatics, that this study will be devoted.
