    • The person according to Duns Escoto: A view from the neuroethics perspective.Neuroethics attempts to explain how the brain and mind enable self-consciousness, affectivity, and human relationships, but does not provide a concept of «person». This text looks at the Scholastic concept of «person» elaborated by John Duns Scoto, which involves an intimate psycho-physical unity, as well as an existence based on freedom, self-reflection, and relationships with others. The scheme of «person» presented by Scoto is examined from the neuroethics perspective to pose a comprehension of freewill, affectivity, and human social relations to favor an integral interpretation of neuroethics within the complexity of human beings.
