La co-educación en el deporte escolar

    El deporte escolar está considerado por nuestro ordenamiento jurídico una actividad de interés general, herramienta de gran valor educativo que contribuye a la formación integral. Una de las manifestaciones de este deporte es la competición. La herencia cultural androcéntrica del deporte ha relegado a la mujer a un segundo plano, creando prejuicios, estereotipos y ha segregado la actividad por sexos. Por otro lado, el derecho a la igualdad se convierte en una finalidad educativa que impulsa la co-educación como el modelo educativo que más favorece la igualdad efectiva, entre mujeres y hombres. Desde un enfoque co-educativo, chicos y chicas no solo participan juntos sino que, además, comparten estrategias de intervención pedagógicas con objeto de promover un desarrollo integral libre de estereotipos y desigualdades. Para implementar este modelo es necesario un cambio en la estructura organizativa de la competición deportiva escolar. El proceso de cambio tiene que ser impulsado por las instituciones, y contar con la colaboración de los demás agentes participantes (colegios, asociaciones y clubes, profesores, madres/padres, etc.). Los riesgos de reproducir las desigualdades pueden evitarse si se controlan las condiciones socioeducativas y se destinan suficientes recursos. Estructurar la competición en categorías por nivel, no por sexo, en consonancia con el Sistema educativo;

    Dotar a las actividades del personal técnico más cualificado; Adaptar los reglamentos para que todos y todas puedan jugar de forma normalizada y; desarrollar estrategias para implementar acciones educativas en la competición escolar; son directrices que pueden contribuir al objetivo de conseguir un deporte escolar más igualitario.

    School sports are considered by our legal system to be an activity of general interest, a tool of great educational value that contributes to comprehensive education. One of the manifestations of this sport is competition. The androcentric cultural heritage of sport has relegated women to the background, creating prejudices, stereotypes and segregated activity by sex. On the other hand, the right to equality becomes an educational purpose that promotes co-education as the educational model that most favors effective equality between women and men. From a coeducational approach, boys and girls not only participate together but also share pedagogical intervention strategies in order to promote comprehensive development free of stereotypes and inequalities. To implement this model, a change in the organizational structure of the school sports competition is necessary. The process of change has to be promoted by the institutions and have the collaboration of the other participating agents (schools, associations and clubs, teachers, mothers / fathers, etc.). The risks of reproducing inequalities can be avoided if socio-educational conditions are controlled and sufficient resources are allocated. Structure the competition in categories by level, not by sex, in accordance with the educational system;

    Provide the activities of the most qualified technical personnel; Adapt the regulations so that everyone can play in a normalized way and; develop strategies to implement educational actions in school competition; they are guidelines that can contribute to the goal of achieving a more equal school sport.
