Esfilagarsats i entortolligats:: Una ullada als cossos des del posthumanisme

    En aquest article es presenten algunes idees pròpies del pensamentposthumanista en relació als cossos. Tot intentant entendrela realitat mitjançant la superació d’esquemes conceptuals deldualisme cartesià, l’antropocentrisme i el biocentrisme, la nocióposthumanista del cos es basteix sobre pressupòsits molt diferentsals de l’humanisme. No concep el cos com a mer suport de la mentsinó que parteix de la idea d’embodiment, però entenent aquestconcepte de forma més àmplia de com fou originàriament formuladaper Thomas Csordas. El cos se’l conceptualitza com un assemblatgede diferents elements que només resulta comprensible apartir de les intra-accions (Karen Barad) amb tot allò que l’envolta,a diferència de la visió clàssica de considerar-lo com un tot orgànicunificat i separat del seu entorn. Els nostres cossos van moltmés enllà de la pell que els recobreix (Donna Haraway). D’aquestamanera, els límits del cos, tan clarament establerts per estructuresepistemològiques pregonament antropocèntriques i molt marcadesper les dualitats individu/societat i ment/cos, es desdibuixenen el marc conceptual del posthumanisme. Dins de l’ontologia decaire no dualista característica del posthumanisme és a les relacionsabans que a les entitats a allò que se li atorga una major importància.El cos és entès —més que en termes del que és— segonsles seves capacitats d’acció i interacció (Gilles Deleuze).

    In this article I present some ideas related to the posthumanistthinking concerning bodies. Trying to understand the reality byovercoming conceptual schemes of Cartesian dualism, anthropocentrismand biocentrism, the post-humanist notion of the bodyis based on different presuppositions from those of humanism.It does not conceive the body as a mere support of the mind butinstead departs from the embodiment concept, but understandingthis idea in a wider form as it was originally formulated byThomas Csordas. The body is conceptualized as an assemblageof different elements which only becomes understandable throughintra-actions (Karen Barad) with everything that surroundsit, unlike the classical vision that considers the body as a unifiedorganic whole separated from its surroundings. The body doesnot end at the skin (Donna Haraway). In this way, the boundariesof the body, so clearly established by epistemological structures,which are profoundly anthropocentric and based on individual/society and mind/body dualities are blurred in the conceptual frameworkof posthumanism. Within the characteristic non dualistontology of posthumanism what counts are relations not entities.The body is understood rather than in terms of what it is, accordingto its capacity of action and interaction (Gilles Deleuze).
