  • Vanadium might be traditionally synonymous with steel production – where it is used as an alloy – but the renewable power generation sector represents a new frontier, particularly while governments across the world pledge to wean themselves off fossil fuels. The European vanadium-redox battery market will grow, boosted by ongoing developments in the electric vehicle sector - as well as reinforced commitments to renewable energy across much of the trading bloc. With regulatory obligations now in place for many of the EU member states to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, new battery technologies will remain an attractive option.
