Resumen de Pujades i Sant Pere de Rodes:: les inscripcions de Tassi i Hildesind

  L’abandonament i el saqueig del monestir benedictí de Sant Pere de Rodes va comportar la desaparició d’escultures i d’inscripcions que formaven part del monument. D’aquests, Jeroni Pujades ha deixat testimoni de la de Tassi, noble fundador del cenobi, i la d’Hildesind, el seu fill i primer abat de la comunitat.

  Respecte la primera es revisen els principals documents, que permeten fixar el text més probable. Per que fa a la segona, la troballa de diversos fragments de la làpida permet resseguir les vicissituds que va patir la peça.

  The abandonment and sacking of the Benedictine monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes led to the disappearance of sculptures and inscriptions from the monument. Of them Jeroni Pujades has left us evidence of the inscription referring to Tassi, the abbey’s noble founder, and Hildesind, his son and the community’s first abbot. With regard to the former we review the main documents, which allow us to establish the most likely text. In regard to the latter, the find of various fragments of his tombstone allows us to trace the vicissitudes the piece has undergone over time.
