Resumen de El suicidio. Una perspectiva criminológica

Este trabajo se centra en el suicidio debido al creciente interés surgido en los últimos años por su gran magnitud, lo que ha dado lugar a su percepción como un grave problema de salud pública. Es por ello que, con este trabajo, se trata de ampliar los conocimientos sobre el suicidio a nivel sociológico, psicológico, médico y legal, con el fin de crear una imagen lo más cercana posible a la realidad mundial y nacional del fenómeno. Para lograr este objetivo se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica. Asimismo, se ha relacionado el suicidio con temas como la actual crisis económica y el efecto Werther, por un lado para determinar la incidencia real del primero, y por otro lado, para comprender el alcance y la influencia de la información aportada por los medios de comunicación y las redes sociales.

This work focuses into suicide due to increasing interest emerged in the last few years for its large-scale, what has led to its perception as a severe public health issue. Therefore, with this work, it comes to expand knowledge about suicide to sociological, psychological, medical and legal level in order to create an image as close as possible to the national and global reality of the phenomenon. To achieve this goal a bibliographical review has been carried out. Also the suicide has been linked to issues such as the current economic crisis and the Werther effect, on the one hand to establish the actual incidence of the first, and on the other hand, to understand the scope and influence of the information provided by the media and social networks.
