The paper could also be entitled ``Cultures and/or languages in contact? The case of nominalizations''; or ``Towards the study of `Europeanisms' Ð as speci®c functional-stylistic universals.'' The subject, more thoroughly described in this way, emphasizes the cultural, contact, comparative, functional, stylistic, European, and universal aspect of nominalization processes in languages, leaving aside many other aspects also present.
