Resumen de Valerio magrelli, l’esordiente

Federico Francucci

  • Valerio Magrelli: a New Dawn after the Catastrophe? · Focusing on Valerio Magrelli, one of the most scrutinized among the Italian poets born in the second half of xxth century, the essay reconsiders his first book of poems, Ora serrata retinae (1980) from the point of view of Magrelli’s still to come poetic production. Though considerably autoreflexive and metapoetic, that book is far from being unconcerned about the troubled historical and political panorama of the nineteenseventies. On the contrary, "Ora serrata retinae" is an attempt to entrust the future with the best and most fruitful part of those years.
