    La recia personalidad de esta mujer castellana llenó de admiración a quienes la conocieron. En el camino de la mística Teresa de Cepeda no se separó del mundo real habitado por seres humanos de carne y hueso con sus preocupaciones e inquietudes. Fue capaz de meditar en el quehacer de Marta y María, las hermanas de Lázaro, y ensamblar en su vida la acción y la contemplación. Mujer adelantada a su tiempo, capaz de dar impulso a una orden, creando las famosas diecisiete fundaciones en el corazón de España y renovando la Iglesia en su proyección europea y católica.

    The strong personality of this Castilian woman filled all those who knew her with admiration. On her path of mysticism, Teresa de Cepeda never left the real world, inhabited as it is by human beings of flesh and blood with all their worries. She was able to meditate on the daily tasks of Martha and Mary, the sisters of Laza-rus, and to bring together in her life both contemplation and action. She was a woman ahead of her time, capable of building momentum within her order, creating the famous seventeen foundations in the heart of Spain and renewing the Church in its European and Catholic outreach
