La historiografía hoy: cambios en la relación historiador-fuentes

    En los últimos años hemos asistido al derrumbamiento de los grandes paradigmas objetivistas que apuntalaban a las escuelas historiográficas dominantes: Annales, la historiografía marxista o la historiografía liberal británica. Le han suce-dido una multiplicidad de caminos y de orientaciones que han vuelto a poner sobre el tapete la cuestión central de si es posible lograr un conocimiento objetivo sobre el pasado, sobre la sociedad, sobre los procesos de cambio. En este estudio se trata de analizar la figura del historiador, quien, al interpretar el pasado, es consciente de que su interpretación está afectada también de historicidad, lo que le descarga de todo tipo de responsabilidad, pues ninguna interpretación podrá aspirar jamás a la validez universal, sino que, por referirse a acciones de sujeto construidas por otro sujeto, es siempre provisional, expuesta a la crítica de las nuevas generaciones que, sin duda, mirarán con otros ojos el pasado.

    In recent years we have witnessed the collapse of the objectivist paradigms that underpin the dominant historiographical schools: Annales, Marxist historiography or the British liberal historiography. We have followed a multitude of ways and guidelines that have relocated to the fore the central question of whether it is possible to achieve objective knowledge about the past, society, the processes of change. This paper attempts to analyze the figure of the historian who, in interpreting the past, is aware that his interpretation of historicity is also affected, which would discharge any responsibility, since no interpretation can ever aspire to universal validity, but, referring to actions of the subject constructed by another subject, is always provisional, exposed to criticism of the new generations will undoubtedly look with new eyes the past.
