  • The author reflects on progress and setbacks related to addressing and managing infectious diseases across the globe. In the article he offers his opinions on factors which have obstructed efforts to eradicate infectious diseases and on the obligation that public health professionals have to find solutions to the global problems associated with infectious diseases.
