  • This article discusses the history of implementation of water fluoridation in the United States dating back to the mid-20th century. The author examines the fears surrounding the possible toxicity of fluoride and analyzes the development of regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency regarding appropriate fluoride levels in community water.
