The authors argue that reproductive health equity in places such as the U.S. requires an approach to long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) that considers reproductive justice issues and is predicates on the equal value of all lives. The article "Realizing Reproductive Health Equity for Adolescents and Young Adults" by J.L. Northridge and S. Coupey, which appears in a 2015 issue of the journal, is examined. America's teenage pregnancy rate is assessed, along with reproductive autonomy.
