  • The author reflects on National Public Health week as well as what he considers major health-related issues facing the United States. Topics covered include Medicare and Medicaid coverage, smoking-reduction efforts, and the high rate of obesity among Americans. She goes on to suggest a greater emphasis be placed on preventative measures.
