The article discusses a 1995 editorial entitled "Agent Orange in Vietnam" by J.H. Dwyer and D. Flesch-Janys which provides a summary of what was known about the impact of the Agent Orange toxic defoliant on the workers who manufactured it, as well as the U.S. military personnel and Vietnamese people who were exposed to it. According to the article, the dioxin contaminant 2,3,7,8-TCDD found in Agent Orange was eventually classified as carcinogenic to humans. Birth defects are also examined.
