  • In this article, the author examines prescription opioid use in the U.S. Particular focus is given to whether or not this problem is primarily an issue amongst the white population. Additional topics discussed include how the life expectancy of U.S. white persons has declined as the result of drug overdoses, the history of OxyContin, an opioid drug, and opioid marketing.
