  • Resumen
    • The author argues that cohort studies provide the best basis for gaining scientific knowledge about human health, and it mentions the need for the development of infrastructures through which public health science-based cohort and registry data is collected, securely managed, and accessed. Epidemiological research in Norway is addressed in relation to Dr. Per Magnus' work on the Norwegian Mother and Child Cohort Study. The Nurses' Health Study is also examined.
