  • The article discusses a randomized controlled trial (RCT) published in the 2018 Christmas issue of the "British Medical Journal" in which researchers from Harvard University, the University of Michigan and UCLA performed the for RCT evaluating the efficacy of parachutes for preventing death or major traumatic injury among individuals jumping from aircraft. The study revealed that all individuals involved jumped from an aircraft that was parked on the ground and did not deploy their parachutes.
