    • The article focuses on the investigation by forensic epidemiologists in New Hampshire on a possible cluster of linked cases of hepatitis C, following a diagnosis on four people which revealed that the strains' genetic codes carried by the patients were identical. Topics include the rapid mutation of hepatitis C virus (HCV), the statement of state public health director Jose Montero on the need to find the person where the virus originated, and the use of molecular techniques for epidemiology.
