A importância da presença dos pais na iniciação esportiva: o caso do futebol

     The importance of the presence of parents in sports initiation: the case of footballThe presence of parents, participation and their behaviors are considered extremely important factors in the development process of children, especially in childhood and adolescence. The purpose of this study was to analyze the importance of parents in the sports life of their children in a sports initiation project. Participating in the study were 15 parents who have their children in a football school in the municipality of Piraju-SP, aged between 7 and 12 years. This research was a unique approach study and in the transversal method, in which the Questionnaire for Parents was applied (Verardi, 2004). The results proved to be very satisfactory in that it was identified that the parents are actually present in their children's games and maintain a very good contact regarding conversations after the games and seek to explain in a coherent and encouraging way their children about competition, or lose, how to behave in the field. The study also found that 43% of parents stay on game days, and many say they are looking for more sports so their child can have a good social relationship with other children. Most see the sport for the future, as 69% say they want their child to become a footballer. It is concluded that the participation of parents in the sports and social life of the children has a very important importance for their development in sports and also in the course of their lives.

    A presença dos pais, a participação e seus comportamentos são considerados fatores de extrema importância no processo de desenvolvimento dos filhos principalmente na infância e adolescência. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar qual a importância dos pais na vida esportiva dos filhos em um projeto de iniciação esportiva de futebol. Participaram do estudo 15 pais que tem seus filhos em uma escolinha de futebol no município de Piraju-SP, com idades entre 7 a 12 anos. Esta pesquisa foi um estudo de abordagem única e no método transversal, na qual foi aplicado o Questionário Para Os Pais (Verardi, 2004). Os resultados revelaram ser muito satisfatório nos quais foi identificado que os pais estão realmente presentes em jogos de seus filhos e mantêm um contato muito bom em relação a conversas após os jogos e buscando explicar de forma coerente e incentivadora a seus filhos sobre competição, saber ganhar ou perder, a forma de como se comportar dentro do campo. O estudo revelou ainda que 43% dos pais se mantêm presentes nos dias de jogos, e muitos dizem que buscam mais esportes para que seu filho tenha uma boa relação social com as demais crianças. A maioria vê o esporte para o futuro, já que 69% dizem querer que seu filho se torne um jogador de futebol. Conclui-se que a participação dos pais na vida esportiva e social dos filhos tem uma importância muito relevante para o seu desenvolver no esporte e também no decorrer em sua vida.
