Resumen de Algunos trabajos científicos en los medios escritos murcianos durante las primeras décadas del siglo XX

En el presente trabajo se analizan los artículos de carácter científico-divulgativo publicados en varias revistas culturales murcianas durante el primer tercio del siglo XX. Se pretende con ello dar a conocer el ambiente científico general que imperaba en el conjunto de la Región. Dichos artículos pueden clasificarse en cuatro apartados: los de contenido científico general, los relativos al ámbito científico-industrial, los centrados en ciencias de la vida y los referentes a la formación científica de la población. Entre otras cuestiones, puede apreciarse la divulgación de ideas científicas candentes en ese momento (como la radiactividad o las bases de la genética) y un gran afán por entrelazar los avances técnicos con la ciencia.

In the present work, the informative scientific articles published in several Murcian cultural magazines during the first third of the 20th Century are analyzed. The aim is to make known the general scientific environment prevailing in the Region. These articles can be classified into four sections: those of general scientific content, those related to the scientific-industrial field, those focused on life sciences and those related to the scientific education of the population. Among other issues, dissemination of scientific ideas at that time (such as radioactivity or the basis of genetics) and a great desire to interweave technical advances with science are shown.
