El objetivo del presente artículo es, primeramente, revisar el recorrido artístico-vital de la escritora guadalupeña Maryse Condé, figura capital de las letras antillanas tanto creolófonas como francófonas, con el fin de sensibilizar al público hispanófobo con una obra donde lo poético y lo político comulgan en honda coherencia.Por otra parte, pretendemos ofrecer en las páginas que se siguen ciertas herramientas clave para la exégesis de dicha colosal obra condeana, en tanto que espejo de inquietudes sin duda comunes al híbrido panorama creador caribeño.

The aim of this paper is, firstly, to review the artistic-vital journey of the great Guadeloupean writer Maryse Condé, in order to introduce to the Hispanophone audience Conde’s work. A work where the poetic and the political live in deep coherence. On the other hand, we intend to offer in the pages some key tools for the exegesis of her novels, which we consider a mirror of the hybrid Caribbean creative panorama.
