  • The article discusses the possibility that nuclear weapons could be eliminated in the years following 2013 by describing a fictitious history of nuclear disarmament initiatives leading up to the "Nuclear Disarmament Decision Day" of 2063. Events described include the detonation of an untraceable nuclear bomb in Mumbai, India and the "Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty" of 2018. Topics include command, control, and communications technology, technology used to detect submarines with nuclear capabilities, and the environmental impact of nuclear war.
