  • The article discusses psychology and neuroscience research on the human senses, with a focus on multisensory perception and the cognitive processes underling the organization and interpretation of external stimuli. Topics include multisensory overlap between auditory, visual, and somatosensory architectures of the brain; the McGurk effect, which emphasizes the influence of visual perception on hearing; and the visual cortex's link to touch.
