  • In this paper I will argue that Martha Nussbaum's idea of global justice is at an impasse. Either it tries to become liberal, in order to respect individual freedom of choice and global pluralism, and therefore Nussbaum modifies her liberal strategies according to what this articles suggests, but then her capability approach ends up suffering from theoretical partiality and lack of autonomy. Or, Nussbaum highlights the Aristotelian features of her approach, thereby keeping its theoretical coherence and autonomy, but then her idea of global justice turns out to be disrespectful for individual freedom of choice and global pluralism.
