  • The article focuses on the vulnerability of firmware to cyberattacks and methods that computer security experts are using to prevent cyberattacks. It states the networking of embedded computers used for power grids, water treatment facilities and other systems are increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks. Director Scott Borg of the nonprofit Cyber Consequences Unit mentioned that circuits are designed to accept multiple rewrites and talked about programs that scan firmware code to detect changes.
