  • The article discusses the complexity of neurological processes governing cognitive activity and how understanding the timing mechanisms involved in neuronal signaling could lead to more efficient computer functioning. Topics include how energy efficiency may have driven neurological evolution, how researchers have developed "neuromorphic" electronic circuitry, and the use of computer models in studying the nervous system.
