  • The article discusses a study published in the April 2012 issue of "Ecological Applications," carried out by marine biologist Helen Bailey and her colleagues, about the use of satellites to track leatherback sea turtles' migration patterns. Topics include the role Bailey's data will play in determining areas where fishing trawlers pose a threat to the turtles, and how the data may be used to direct short-term fishery closures.
