  • Resumen
    • The article discusses a study in the March 28, 2012 issue of "Nature" magazine examining fossilized raindrops from the Archean era to learn more about the early atmosphere of planet Earth. Researchers used lasers to scan the craters created by raindrops that fell on a layer of volcanic ash 2.7 billion years ago and compared them to modern indentations. Researchers note the key to determining whether ancient air may have been less dense in the Archean era is based on raindrop size.
