  • The article discussed the development of nanoparticles that seek out and signal the presence of newly forming blood vessels that specifically feed the growth of tumors by Gregory Lanza and colleagues at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Reportedly, such blood vessel growth does not occur in noncancerous tissue and could by used to inform doctors how quickly a cancer is growing, which determines the aggressiveness of treatment.
