Resumen de Food poisoning's hidden legacy.

Maryn Mckenna

  • The article discusses the evidence of the long-term health consequences of foodborne diseases such as Salmonella, Shigella, and Escherichia coli infections. An overview is presented of research linking incidences of bacterial infections from food poisoning to the eventual development of sequelae such as reactive arthritis, ulcerative colitis, and diabetes. The results suggest the necessity of public health policies to monitor food poisoning patients to track potential aftereffects and administer preventive care.
