  • The article discusses linguistics research. Topics include the results of a study by François Pellegrino and colleagues at the University of Lyon in France, analyzing the speech of 59 people reading the same 20 texts aloud in seven languages. The team found that although some languages sounded faster than others, most conveyed information at the same rate.
