  • In this article the author offers his opinion on why he feels the elimination of an on-screen keyboard on technology company Apple Inc.'s iPhone negatively impacted the ability to enter text. He discusses various advantageous features of the iPhone, such as autocomplete and predictive text, the challenges of using speech recognition, and alternatives to on-screen typing, such as Swype and SwiftKey, in which users drag their fingers across the keys for the letters they want.
