  • The article discusses the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA's) space capsule Orion, which is scheduled to take it first test flight from Cape Canaveral, Florida in December 2014. Topics include Orion's dimensions, which are larger than the Apollo capsules that flew astronauts to the Moon and Orion's eventual goal of journeying to planet Mars atop NASA's Space Launch System (SLS). A diagram of Orion's service and crew modules, and launch abort system is presented.
