  • The article discusses the backlash from utility companies against residents in Phoenix, Arizona that use solar power on rooftops to generate electricity. Topics include resident Doug Cox, the attitude of the Phoenix-area utility Arizona Public Service (APS), and the emerging battle between solar customers and utilities. The economic aspects of solar power and a movement in the U.S. to become less dependent on centralized electric power grids are also discussed.
