  • The article discusses how understanding the origin of the Pillars of Creation could change the way astronomers think about O-type stars. Cardiff University astronomer Scott Balfour and colleagues' computer simulation of the pillar structures, which is a trio of gas columns inside the Milky Way galaxy's Eagle Nebula, and the role of O-type stars in star formation are discussed.
