  • Resumen
    • The article discusses a process in which the brain encodes the distinct features of events and situations in a way that allows them to be distinguished from one another called pattern separation, which occurs in a cluster of cells called dentate gyrus. Topics include the role of sensory cues in memory, new neuron therapy for regulating mood and treating conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and anxiety disorders in people that lack pattern separation.
