    El artículo recorre El nombre de la rosa de Umberto Eco y su condición de novela intertextual. De los diversos niveles de lectura, este ensayo aborda los aspectos eruditos que se relacionan con la filosofía y la literatura medieval, a la vez que tienden vasos comunicantes con la literatura contemporánea. Este ejercicio hace visible el sustrato crítico de la escritura de la obra de Eco, con respecto a la relación entre el poder, el conocimiento y la censura como forma de control.

    This article reads over The Name of the Rose, by Umberto Eco, and its status as an intertextual novel. Of the different levels of reading, this essay deals with the erudite aspects that are related to medieval philosophy and literature, while at the same time they tend to communicate with contemporary literature. This exercise makes visible the critical substrate of the writing of Eco's work, with respect to the relationship between power, knowledge and censorship as a form of control.
