    L’article examine le concept de crise tel qu’il est développé dans Raison et légitimité de Jürgen Habermas et cherche à mettre en évidence la théorie de la société qui la sous-tend. Habermas définit la crise par l’association d’un trouble de la régulation et d’un trouble de socialisation et propose deux approches, l’une plutôt fonctionnaliste et l’autre plutôt normative, de la société. L’article cherche alors à mettre en évidence ce qui associe ces deux approches : une certaine perplexité théorique et néanmoins un choix militant en faveur de la raison.

    The paper explores the concept of crisis and its underlying theory of society in Jürgen Habermas’s Legitimation Crisis. Habermas understands crisis as the conjunction of troubles in regulation and troubles in socialization. His conception of society is alternately functionalist and normative. The article aims to show that both dimensions have in common a certain theoretical perplexity and nevertheless a resolute choice in favor of reason.
