      Los Assises de Jerusalem conformaban el conjunto de leyes que funcionaron en el Reino Latino de Jerusalén. Dentro de dicho corpus, los Assises de la Cour des Bourgeois regulaban las re­laciones sociales de aquellos sujetos libres que no formaban parte de la nobleza. El estudio de esta sección normativa es fundamental para el entendimiento de la sociedad que los francos crearon en Outremer luego de la conquista de Palestina y la fundación de los reinos latinos durante las Cruzadas. Respecto al desarrollo institucional de la medicina, en dicha sección existen capítulos específicos que brindan información sobre la circulación y producción de saberes y prácticas médicas en la región. De este modo, en nuestro trabajo retomamos el análisis de la fuente para profundizar nuestro conocimiento sobre la tarea de aquellos que se dedicaron al arte de curar en el Oriente Latino y la apropiación de saberes médicos en el Mediterráneo Oriental.

    The Assises de Jerusalem constituted the group of laws that operated in the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. Within this legal corpus, the Assises de la Cour des Bourgeois regulated the social relations from those free men which were not part of the nobility. The study of this normative section is central for the understanding of the society created by the franks in Outremer after the conquest of Palestine and the foundation of the crusaders states during the Crusades.

    Regarding the institutional developed of medicine, there are specific chapters in this section which offer information about the production and circulation of medical knowledge and practice. In these sense, in our investigation we analyze this source to deepen our knowledge about the work of those that acted as doctors in the Latin East and the appropriation of medical knowledge in the East Mediterranean.
