  • Databases with information on production, management, reproduction, classification for milk type and quality, provide producers and institutions with: Zootechnical indexes on herd performance; It enables decision making aimed at the management of herds and milk quality; It enables genetic evaluations, traceability of animals and dairy products; it enables strategic planning of the sector. As well, countries wishing to compete in the international dairy market must demonstrate that domestic milk quality also complies with high quality standards. In addition to consumer demand for higher quality products, there is a shift from government responsibility to "food producers", ensuring this quality.
