In this article the author discusses the results of an experiment called OPERA (Oscillation Project with Emulsion-tRacking Apparatus), in which researchers recorded sub-atomic particles, called neutrinos, moving 60 nanoseconds faster than the speed of light. A discussion on why some theoretical physicists are skeptical of the researchers’ results is presented.
