  • The article discusses advances in biomedical engineering research. The author notes that researchers in the field of nanomedicine have envisioned a time when molecular-scale computing devices could be embedded in human bodies to monitor health and prevent the progression of disease through early treatment. An overview of several studies on the successful integration of biocomputers in living tissues is presented.
