  • The article discusses parthenogenic stem cells, human stem cells which are created using parthenogenesis. Under U.S. law and guidelines from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), science laboratories which receive government funding cannot derive new lines of parthenotes, since they are defined as embryos.
