  • Resumen
    • The article discusses research on the Higgs boson which is being conducted at the Tevatron particle accelerator at the U.S. Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in Batavia, Illinois. The U.S. Department of Energy decided to shut down Tevatron by October 2011, and Fermilab scientists such as Dmitri Denisov, Rob Roser, and Stephen Mrenna are trying to find evidence of the Higgs boson before scientists at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). Information is presented on the Standard Model of physics, the Project X accelerator, and plans for Fermilab research on neutrinos, and dark energy. INSET: Three Decades of Discovery.
