  • The article discusses the difficulty of designing drugs which can target proteins with flat surfaces. The author discusses his research on finding molecules which can activate or inhibit the proteins which control cell-death associated with neurological degeneration and cancer. He says that his research has identified an inhibitor which interacts with E3 ligases, which have previously been considered undruggable. INSET: STAT.
