  • The author offers opinions about the use of passwords for Internet services and websites. The argument for a balance between security and convenience is presented. Examples of appropriate security include the Omni Hotel's Select Guest loyalty program and buying from the online store of the computer company Apple Inc. It is suggested that administrators and users should consider the necessity of password protection.
