In this article the author discusses why science is the only means with which to fight belief-dependent realism. According to the author, individuals form their beliefs for a variety of emotional, subjective, and psychological reasons within the context of environments created by various elements, such as family, friends, and colleagues. He notes that beliefs proceed any explanations for those beliefs and discusses the various ways individuals maintain and enforce their beliefs.
